How long our Smoked Salmon lasts in and out of the fridge and can it be frozen?

Celebrated by seafood lovers as a treasured delicacy, Pacific Northwest smoked salmon makes for a delicious gift or addition to any meal. We carry a wide variety of smoked products, including: Alderwood Smoked Salmon, fresh Garlic-Pepper Smoked Salmon, Smoked Salmon Jerky, Cold-Smoked Salmon Nova Lox, Smoked Alaskan Black Cod, and beyond. There truly is a variety for everyone!

As for how long smoked salmon lasts, well, it can last for a while. Smoked fish products purchased at Pure Food Fish Market last for two days out of the refrigerator and for up to three weeks in the refrigerator. We are also happy to vacuum seal any smoked fish products upon request to preserve the high quality and freshness when kept in the freezer. Smoked salmon can be frozen for up to six months in an airtight or vacuum-sealed package before it will begin to lose its flavor.

Refreezing smoked salmon after having opened it is not recommended as it can lead to the deterioration of the salmon’s bold color, flavor and moistness. Before consuming smoked salmon that has been frozen, simply thaw it in the refrigerator for best results.

Whether mixing smoked salmon into a meal, or serving it alongside crackers and a spread as an hors d’ oeuvre, this thick, moist fish is sure to delight with its lightly salted, smoky flavors. All of our smoked fish products are sold fresh-cooked and ready to enjoy, with two pounds easily serving four to five guests.
