Fresh Swordfish steaks are a healthy alternative to red meat.

There are very few pleasures in life quite like cutting into a juicy steak with a cold one on the side. However considering the association between red meat and heart disease, this pleasure should only be enjoyed on occasion. But fret not, meatlovers! You have an alternative: fresh Swordfish steaks.

With more than a gram of omega-3 fatty acids and around 30 grams of protein per serving, swordfish has a better nutrition profile than that of beef steak. Swordfish is among the meatiest of seafood. Its firm and meaty texture lends itself to be excellent on the grill. You can cook the fish on kebab sticks or simply grill it like a sirloin. Swordfish is light and slightly sweet, requiring very little preparation. Simply drizzle olive oil on your swordfish and throw it on the grill for about 3-5 minutes. Finish off the steak with a squeeze of lemon and salt & pepper for taste.
