Directions for Use: Completely submerge the plank in water prior to cooking. Soak the plank for fifteen to thirty minutes. If desired, gently rinse the plank before use. Do not wash with soap. Soaking the plank will protect it from catching fire during the cooking process. For an added twist on the flavor profile, try soaking the plank in beer, cider vinegar, apple juice, or any other liquid with similar viscosity. Take care to choose a liquid that does not have high sugar content. Sugar absorbed into the plank will make it easier to burn. Cedar cooking planks are intended for single use only.
